Joaquín Torres-García (born July 28, 1874, Montevideo, Uruguay—died Aug. 8, 1949, Montevideo) was a Uruguayan painter who introduced Constructivism to South America. In 1891 Torres-García moved with his family from Uruguay to Spain, where they lived in Barcelona.
